Autumn Gathering Menu Inspiration

Perhaps the best part of cooking is the planning - we LOVE skimming through cookbooks to spark creativity.  We hardly ever follow a recipe to the letter, but we know that there are a lot of you out there who wouldn’t even think to mess with a proven formula.  No matter how your culinary adventures unfold, we thought we would share with you some Thanksgiving recipe inspo that have our minds seeing deliciousness ahead.  If you wanted to just go with the entire list, the flavours would pull together as a beautiful Autumn Dinner Menu.  And, if you are envisioning an epic gathering with all the details - you may want to join us for one of our wine workshops this season.  Our Sparkly Sommelier takes what can fell like a very intimidating subject and makes it fun, quirky and meaningful.

We would love to hear and see how these come to life in your home.  The good, the great and even the not-make-agains.  Comment below or snap a pic and tag us on Instagram.

Shawarma Spice Lamb Leg
We’ve made this before.  It’s amazing - try the herb salad that is suggested along with it as well {a rendition on this is going on our winter gather menu at Charlotte and the Quail}
OR maybe...

Roast Salmon with Pomegranate Glaze
Stunning colour and less expected

Balsamic Beets
Simple, yet elegant

Radicchio Salad
the bitter edge on this dish will balance out the heavy nature of the rest of your feast

Kale Salad
the obligatory feel-good-about-feasting dish.  Have you ever shredded brussel sprouts and added them in salads?  This would be a good time to try it.

Roasted Cauliflower
We would probably cut is smaller for a larger group dinner and use sweet soaked almond {in water for 8hours} instead of the toasted.  Either way this will be light and flavourful

Fennel Pear Salad
A little touch of sweetness to make the whole meal come together

Quinoa Skillet Bread
we are going to add chopped parsley, sage, celery, garlic & a dash of smoked paprika when we make this
